Oakland Park Oasis | Heated Pool | 4BR Retreat

This house has huge potential. Check-in was easy. The layout was very nice and you can tell that there were some updates to the house. The house needed a deep cleaning, there were holes in the walls in several rooms, the beds were uncomfortable, the front bathroom with the tinted frosted window was scratched out from the outside, so someone can look in, the couches were worn and dirty, there was a hole at the front door from a missing key lock, and the thermostat fluctuated on its own. For the outside: the pool area was unkept. The debris from the trees was everywhere even in the pool, which we couldn’t reach with the pool net. The furniture in the back was also worn and outdated and the area needed to be cleaned up thoroughly. One of the most disturbing things was that we found several Contractor bags full of trash maybe from previous guests on the side of the house and the trash wasn’t picked up our entire stay which was Friday through Monday. Animals definitely ate through it.

While I usually don’t do reviews I think this we’ll be helpful to others Pros - clean interior - comfy beds and sleeping areas - grill worked (need grill stuff) - private area not loud or crowded - arcade games worked - spacious - helpful kitchen utensils - nice bathrooms Cons (these all occurred the first day while we did a our check-in) - Stove top nobs broken and the stove top stayed on our entire stay (wasted $150 in groceries) - sink was clogging in kitchen and first bathroom in the front of house - pool was warm and a had debris in it the outside area wasn’t clean fully - couldn’t get correct front door code for 2 of our 4 day stay had to go around back - didn’t get any maintenance issues resolved even though I reached out everyday with evidence - lots of trash in the front when we arrived thought maybe trash day was coming but nothing - response team was sort of fast but wasn’t helpful didn’t get helpful answers most of the time
